Posted on TripadvisorVerified Two-day trip to Tarangire, we enjoyed it! Another trip with Natural History Safari, this thime a two-day trip to Tarangire. Baraka was our guide, a very friendly, energetic and professional guide. He is a careful driver, very good game spotter and he knows a lot about the game and also birds. As this was not our first safari with Natural History Safari, we had high expectations. And even while we did not meet Baraka before, we can honestly tell that all our expectations were met. We had a relaxed time, Baraka gave us a lot of time to enjoy the game and nature. We spent time with smaller beautiful things in nature (a dungbeetle working hard). Baraka followed our pace and interests and that was wonderful. We stayed overnight in Tarangire NP. That gave us the opportunity to do the game drive until sunset and start early in the morning at sunrise, so we could make most out of the day. From the vast plains of the Serengeti and the migration to the different and stunning landscapes of the Tarangire National Park, every day brought something new. The wildlife was beyond anything we imagined — lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs,… and even a leopard, all in their natural habitat and we were able to see them so closely. What made it all even more special was how smoothly everything was organized. We felt completely taken care of from start to finish. Our guide, Boni, was fantastic — knowledgeable, professional, and always happy to answer our endless questions. He had such a great eye for spotting animals and knew so much about the landscape and the culture. We really appreciated his calm, friendly presence throughout the journey. Every detail of the trip was thoughtfully planned — great lodges, comfortable drives, and enough time at each stop to really enjoy it all in. We never felt rushed, just fully disconnected and immersed in the beauty of Tanzania. We came home with incredible memories, thousands of photos, and a deep appreciation for this beautiful country. Everything was perfectly organized – from the warm welcome at Kilimanjaro Airport late in the evening to the tearful goodbye at Seronera Airstrip in the Serengeti National Park. Our journey took us from Arusha through Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and finally into the endless plains of the Serengeti. Each day brought new, unforgettable encounters with Tanzania’s breathtaking wildlife: elephant herds with playful calves crossing our path or enjoying a mud bath, countless zebras and buffalo, graceful giraffes, lion families resting in the grass, massive wildebeest herds, cheetahs along the riverbank, hippos wallowing in the water, colorful birds, lurking crocodiles – and even two leopards in the wild. The accommodations were varied and beautiful – from charming lodges to luxurious tented camps right in the heart of nature, where we fell asleep to the distant calls of hyenas and the roar of lions, and woke up to stunning sunrises. Everywhere we stayed, we were met with genuine warmth and hospitality. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared – including delightful lunch boxes for our days out in the bush. A very special thanks goes to our guide Boni – a warm-hearted person with whom we instantly connected. He is a walking navigation system with incredible sense of direction, an encyclopedia of wildlife knowledge, and an excellent driver who made us feel safe at all times. With a keen instinct for the animals and a gift for anticipating where the action would be, he turned every day into a new adventure. Dear Boni, thank you for showing us your country and its wonders. You made this trip one of the most memorable experiences of our lives.Posted on TripadvisorVerified Great trip to the Southern Circuit of Tanzania In May 2025 we made another trip with Natural History Safari. As usual Boniface organized and planned our trip very well. This time we travelled to the Southern Circuit in Tanzania and we visited Ruaha National Park, Uzdungwa Forest National Park, Mikumi National Park and Nyerere National Park. Our trip lasted for 13 days. It was a great experience again and it was fascinating to see a different part of the country. More quiet, less tourists and beautiful animals and landscapes. This time we travelled with driver-guide Juma who is a very friendly, kind, experienced and knowledgeable guide. He is a careful and experienced driver as well. We travelled at the end of rainy season and driving was challenging at times because of the muddy road conditions. He remained calm and steady. He knows a lot about the game and especially birds. We would be very happy to travel with him again in future. Unfortunately we had an issue with one lodge where we would stay for 2 nights. After we mentioned this to Boniface, he immediately took action and booked us into another accomodation. So the issue was solved quickly and to our satisfaction. We felt at home with Juma and Natural History Safari. Again, we higlhy recommend travelling with Natural History Safari.Posted on TripadvisorVerified Amazing Safari Migration We had a fabulous experience, in large part due to Boni's skill in planning a fantastic itinerary and his attention to detail. We weren't rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy the wildlife, take great shots and learn about what we were seeing. I don't think there's a bird in Tanzania that Boni doesn't know about! The wildebeest and zebra migration was enthralling and at times we were the only vehicle amidst the herds. Boni gave us a unique experience where we could see the big five and he plotted a course that allowed us to spend time away from the crowds. I strongly recommend Natural History Safaris. Although it was our first experience in Tanzania and our first safari trip, we know this for sure. Boni organized everything with detail, from very nice lodges to stay, to lunchboxes when we left. Besides that, he is a very skilled guide, who knows everything of animal behaviour, from big game to annoying flies, and knows how and where to spot the animals. He can answer every question involving game, flora, geology and surroundings. Travelling with him for 8 days, during the busy holiday season, we often had the idea we were the only ones around, as he avoids the crowded trails and showed us the beauty of the country. Besides that he is friendly, caring and we always felt safe. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and his years of working and living in the Serengeti were evident, making the experience truly memorable. Helemaal ontzorgd op safari en Boni heeft ontzettend veel kennis over de natuur in Tanzania. Wil je nog andere dingen in Tanzania zien, vraag het hem en hij regelt het. Desgewenst regelt hij de hele reis inclusief overnachtingen voor je.
